Mr. Duane McVayMr. Duane McVay, Professor Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering and Michael and Heidi Gatens Professor of development resources Unconventional, chose to attend the Faculty ConocoPhillips sponsorship programme.
ConocoPhillips annually grants members of the Faculty strongly involved in the education of students and active in the areas of interest to ConocoPhillips. A price of $25,000 awarded to those who participate in the program is used at the discretion of the student to continue these efforts.
In addition to the monetary prize, McVay was invited to visit the ConocoPhillips offices to meet with representatives of the company and other recipients of this award.
McVay is the only Professor involved in upstream engineering and the only teacher in Texas A & M to receive the award this year.
