AUSTIN, Texas - Wanda Garner Cash, Clinical Professor of journalism at the University of Texas at Austin, since 2006, has been appointed Associate Director of school of journalism education in, effective 1 January 2011.

Garner is a veteran community log in Texas, with more than 25 years of experience and demanding open folders and freedom of the press laws.

She has been editor and publisher of Baytown Sun, editor-in-Chief of the Brazosport facts, Assistant of the Galveston County Daily News Editor and editor-in-Chief of Kerrville Daily Times. Cash and her husband owned a weekly newspaper, The News Ingram, was honored by the Association de la presse in Texas in 1985 as the best Texas newspaper in its circulation category.

Cash, who received a Bachelor's degree in journalism from the University in 1971, teaches study reports of first cycle and graduate levels and is a member of the Executive Committee of Texas students, which includes the daily Texas directory Cactus, KVRX 91.7 FM, Texas Student Television and Texas Travesty, a humor magazine. She has been President of the Association de la presse in Texas, Texas Associated Press Managing Editors and the freedom of information Foundation of Texas.

In 2012, the school of Journalism will relocate the center of Belo to new media, which will be the physical embodiment of a large number of school changes. One of the signature in building spaces will be a multimedia digital Newsroom will merge modern technology with innovative teaching methods.

Michigan State Hires Director of Eli, Edythe Broad Art Museum (msu.edu)

EAST LANSING, Michigan, Michigan State University has announced the hiring of Michael Rush as the founder and Director of the Eli and Edythe Broad art museum. Rush, more recently, the Director of the Musée d'art rose at Brandeis University, has been recommended by a Committee of research after extensive international research.

"We have a prestigious donor, architect Zaha Hadid, stunning architecture world renowned and have now found the essential missing piece - a Museum Director innovative art - in the hiring of Michael Rush, said Chairman Lou Anna k. With his entrepreneurial spirit, Michael will lead the months leading up to a dynamic opening of the Museum of Eli and Edythe Broad art in 2012 and exciting future. »

Brandeis, located near Boston, rush has supervised a large collection of modern and contemporary art in the region and was widely recognized for his leadership when attempting controversial University to sell the collection and to close the Museum.

He has been Director of the Institute for contemporary art in Palm Beach, gave lectures on art and Museum practices internationally, received the award of the International Association of art critics for its conservation projects and is the co-founder of the Association of Directors of Museum of contemporary art. Rush also hosts an Internet "Rush Interactive," Art International radio, radio program which is available in over 40 countries around the world.

Rush is a widely published author and regularly contributes to many publications, including "art in America," "on paper" and the New York Times. Among his books are "Video Art", "New Media art," "new media in 20th-Century Art," "Marjetica Potrc: Architecture Urgent" and monographs on artists Gunther Brus, Steve Miller and Alexis Rockman.

Installation is named in honour of Eli and Edythe Broad, supporters of long date at which has the lead for the museum gift. Gifts from the Broads of 28 million dollars, with 21 million designated for the construction of the building and $ 7 million to be used for acquisitions, exhibitions and operations, has been the catalyst for the project. Additional fundraising for the construction raised so far nearly $ 34 million $ goal of 40 million for the construction.

The Museum broke ground on March 16th, is expected to open in the spring of 2012 and will feature more than 70 per cent gallery space and room great art works on display. The primary goal of the Museum will be contemporary art.
